Seafarer Physicals & STCW Medical Exams in Orlando NMA-Approved. Disney Cruise Line Preferred Provider. Done in One Visit.

You need a valid medical certificate to work at sea. We're a Norwegian Maritime Authority approved provider in downtown Orlando, minutes from Port Canaveral, and we get mariners certified fast, without the runaround.

What Is an STCW Seafarer Medical Exam?

An STCW seafarer medical exam is a physical evaluation required by the International Maritime Organization to confirm a mariner is medically fit to work at sea. It covers vision, hearing, a full medical history review, and a fitness-for-duty assessment, and results in a certificate accepted by cruise lines and maritime employers worldwide. Beach Medical issues NMA-compliant STCW certificates on-site in Orlando, with same-visit turnaround for most mariners.

Why Mariners Choose Beach Medical

Crew changes don't wait. Contracts don't wait. If your certificate isn't ready, you're not boarding.

We built our seafarer physical process around that reality. One visit covers your exam, your labs, and your paperwork, so you walk out with what you need instead of a follow-up appointment three days later. We're a preferred provider for Disney Cruise Lines, and we work with mariners across every major line, every rank, and every flag state that recognizes STCW.

If you're a manning agent or fleet coordinator booking for a crew change, we also run group appointments so your whole roster gets cleared on the same day.

What's Included in Your STCW / NMA Seafarer Physical

Your exam is built to meet STCW standards and Norwegian Maritime Authority requirements in full, covering everything a cruise line or flag state will ask to see.

  • Fit-for-duty physical assessment

  • Vision and hearing evaluation

  • Medical history and documentation review

  • Certification valid for all ranks and vessel types

  • Accepted worldwide wherever STCW is recognized

Living and working at sea is its own category of risk. We evaluate medical conditions against the realities of shipboard life, isolation from shore-based care, and the responsibility you carry for your crew, so your certificate actually means something when it's reviewed.

Your health. Your vessel. Your responsibility.

"I had four days between contracts and needed my STCW renewal done before I flew back out. Beach Medical got me the same day and I had my certificate in hand before I left the building."
